The UNDP Accelerator Labs use an action learning approach to development. Action learning is a lean and continuous process that consists of doing and reflecting. It brings together small groups of relevant stakeholders to work on real problems, taking action and learning individually and collectively. The purpose of using this approach inside UNDP is to help the organizations develop creative, flexible, and successful strategies to pressing development challenges. Action learning is cyclical. At the beginning of each cycle, Accelerator Labs share a brief description of what they are working on with the rest of the network; and at the end of each cycle, they share their most important learnings. The aim is to facilitate network learning from the different lab experiences.
This site presents a summary of the latest action learning activities of the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network, organized by relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
All of the work the UNDP Accelerator Labs engage in aims to learn about different approaches to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each action learning cycle focuses on one or several interconnected SDGs.
